Beautiful & Distinctive

One way we set ourselves apart from other custom home builders is by staying on the leading edge of architectural design trends. The homes that we build are not only beautiful; they are distinctive. We keep pace with what works today, not only what worked in the past. If you have grown weary of looking at newly built homes because they all look so similar, then it's time to take a look at a NoTex Construction home.

Let's have a look at some of the features of our custom homes.
Ultimately, it's your home, so you get to decide.

Open Concept Floor Plan

Open Floor Plan

The kitchen and living area being all one big space is magical for family time and well-suited for entertaining.

While you're making the most of that wide open space, you'll be able to enjoy a fire when the weather is right. In our spec homes, we do a little bit of everything with fireplaces. Sometimes it's a corner fireplace; sometimes it's centered mid-wall. Our fireplaces are typically stone or brick, and are both wood and gas burning. As with all selections, the choices on your custom home are yours to make.

To maximize the pleasant aesthetic and flow of the open floor plan, we typically use the same floor covering in both the living area and kitchen. The kitchen usually has an island providing that always-appreciated extra counter space.

Split Bedrooms

For that extra privacy and quiet time, the master bedroom suite is often at the opposite end of the house from the other bedrooms. Want the bedrooms near one another? There are floor plans for that too.

Visual interest is added by any number of ceiling shapes and finishes, depending on the home style. Ceiling styles we've used to good effect include vaulted, cathedral, pop-up, shiplap, and more. Crown molding is used most often in the common areas and the master suite, though it can be used throughout the home.

floor in great room bathroom tile

There are so many options with flooring. Ultimately we go with what best fits the style of the home and your lifestyle. In the common areas and the kitchen of our spec homes, hardwood or wood-look tile is usually chosen. We like to use the same floor covering in both the kitchen and the living room to keep the continuity of the open floor plan. We often use carpet in the bedrooms because many prefer the feel of carpet under their toes when they get out of bed. However, sometimes our homes are carpet-free.

quartz countertop

You'll often find quartz countertops in our homes. As you've probably noticed, the modern farmhouse holds a soft spot in our hearts. Not only are quartz countertops durable, but they also fit the modern farmhouse style well. That said, we do use granite for countertops in many homes. A large variety of options are available to choose from, depending on your preferences.
